Welcome – Emilie Dooms Joins the SPP Global Team

We are thrilled to officially welcome Emilie Dooms to the SPP team! Many of you already know Emilie from her previous work with SPP. After taking time to welcome a new little changemaker into the world, she returns in a leadership role focused on Community Knowledge & Empowerment.

Since 2022, Emilie has been an active part of the SPP movement, serving as an Ambassador and contributing to World Sustainable Procurement Day (WSPD) which makes this an even more special moment to welcome her back. Over the past six years, she has worked closely with procurement teams across industries, supporting strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, supplier partnerships, and facilitating workshops and global events.

Through this work, Emilie has witnessed firsthand the power of procurement to drive meaningful, systemic, and sustainable change. Her experience, combined with her vision for community-led knowledge sharing, makes her a natural leader for this next chapter in SPP’s journey.

“I am so excited to have Emilie with us as part of the SPP team. In a small team like ours, every individual carries immense power to shape our impact—and Emilie’s return is a tremendous boost to our collective mission. Her leadership, vision, and experience in procurement will be instrumental as we continue to drive our 5-year ambition of sustainable, systemic change. Welcome, Emilie!” Melissa de Roquebrune

At SPP, we’re a small but mighty team, and every member brings enormous value and impact. Emilie will strengthen our capacity to deliver on our  ambitious strategy of creating real, measurable impact through collaboration. Her role will ensure that the wealth of expertise in our global community is accessible, actionable, and capable of translating into tangible outcomes.

Here’s what you can count on Emilie for:

  • Connecting knowledge across the community: Surfacing practical insights, lived experiences, and best practices from across chapters and teams, so members can learn from one another more effectively.
  • Making knowledge accessible and actionable: Ensuring tools, resources, and collaborative outputs are easy to find, understand, and apply—helping the community make the most of SPP to achieve professional and organizational goals.
  • Turning exchange into practical collaboration: Supporting community-led initiatives that address shared challenges and fill meaningful gaps—moving from conversation to action.
  • Strengthening strategic storytelling and partnerships: Translating community knowledge into clear narratives and collaboration opportunities, and activating ecosystem partnerships to enhance engagement and knowledge exchange.

In short, Emilie is creating the conditions for our global community to learn faster, collaborate better, and amplify collective impact.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with procurement teams around the world. I’ve seen the complexity of the role – but also the extraordinary opportunity procurement holds to influence systems, suppliers and long-term sustainable outcomes. So I’m incredibly excited to join SPP in this capacity. Being part of this community since 2022 – particularly through WSPD – has shown me what’s possible when procurement professionals openly share, challenge, and support one another.

My focus is simple: how do we make it easier for our community to access what they need, contribute what they know, and collaborate in ways that create real impact?  If you’re working on something others could learn from, seeing a gap we should address, or simply want to explore how SPP can better support you  I’d love to connect.” Emilie Dooms

Please join us in welcoming Emilie Dooms to SPP. With her leadership, vision, and dedication, we are better equipped than ever to unlock the collective power of our community and achieve lasting impact.
