Event Series: WSPD 2026

Human Rights Due Diligence and the Power of Listening

March 25 @ 15:00 - 16:00 CET

10:00–11:00 EDT | 15:00–16:00 CET | 22:00–23:00 SGT | +++ Register here (it’s free!): Registration link +++

This session explores how organisations in both the private sector and international development are embedding Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) into their supply chains. It focuses on how stakeholder engagement — especially with affected communities and suppliers — makes HRDD meaningful rather than compliance-driven.

Key discussion points include:

  • UNOPS’ perspective on sustainable supply chain governance, supplier integrity risk management, and inter-agency collaboration on issues such as forced labour and human trafficking
  • Regulatory and business drivers pushing organisations to prioritise human rights, including evolving legislation, brand accountability, and customer expectations
  • Tetra Pak’s systematic approach to identifying and prioritising human rights impacts across its value chain
  • The role of worker voice surveys, Human Rights Impact Assessments, NGO-led consultations, and grievance mechanisms in engaging affected stakeholders

Participants will gain insight into what a robust, people-centred HRDD process looks like in practice, how to move beyond desk-based assessments toward direct engagement, and how meaningful stakeholder dialogue strengthens accountability and trust across the value chain.
