SPP Scope 3 x SPP DACH | From Scope 3 measurement to real-world emissions reductions

Scope 3 targets are set. But how do you move from measurement to actually reducing emissions? Fast, cost-effectively, and with credible evidence?

In this session, Moritz Nill (CEO, ctrl+s) and Sebastian Zingsheim (Senior Director Sustainable Procurement & Supply Chain, GEA) discuss the complexity of Scope 3 measurement. Starting from the different levers of supply chain decarbonization, they examine how Corporate Carbon Footprints, Product Carbon Footprints, and supplier reduction data can and cannot deliver for each lever.

Sebastian will share how GEA is integrating primary ESG data into its global supplier engagement program. He will provide practical insights into how PCFs and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) have been embedded into supplier sustainability criteria, and how GEA supports suppliers in building the capabilities needed to provide credible, decision-relevant sustainability data that enables real emission reductions across the value chain.

Drawing on real-world examples, this will be an exciting session, especially for those who have the basics of Scope 3 measurement already in place!
