SUMMARY:SPP Initiative | Sustainability Data Collaboration Initiative - Exploration Call
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Rewired Earth\, SPP is exploring the launch of a new SPP Initiative focused on unlocking the full value of sustainability data through a systemic\, ecosystem-based approach. \nThe problem statement: Many businesses face significant challenges with sustainability data due to poor quality\, fragmentation\, and a lack of interoperability. This hinders effective decision-making and slows progress on sustainability goals. A systemic\, ecosystem-based approach—like Rewired Earth’s—can address these issues by aligning stakeholders around shared data models\, co-investment\, and scalable\, cross-sector solutions. Tangible innovations like Biaco demonstrate how collective efforts can reduce costs\, improve outcomes\, and drive both business growth and positive impact for people and the planet. \nFollowing initial conversations at the SPP Champions Program\, this exploration call gather potential collaborators from across the SPP Community and Ecosystem to co-define the scope of this initiative and identify community leaders to drive it forward. \nIf you are interested in joining this initiative\, sign up here. \n  \n*** \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and more: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nLearn more about SPP Initiatives and how to engage: SPP Initiatives\nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. SUMMARY:SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative: Pilot Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:+++ This event series is designed for participants of the SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative who are wanting / willing to pilot the Carbon Pricing Principles for Procurement – or already doing so.  +++ \nThe Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative is a transformative effort aimed to accelerate global supply chain decarbonization. A cross-industry group of Chief Procurement Officers and Procurement Leaders have join forces to accelerate the sustainable procurement transition and best utilize the unique influence and huge lever for change that their role and the whole procurement profession has in sustainable development. \nCentral to this initiative is the collaborative creation of an actionable framework that enables Procurement professionals to incorporate carbon considerations into decision-making. By addressing the opportunities and challenges of integrating carbon pricing into procurement decisions\, these principles aim to promote meaningful reductions in emissions while supporting suppliers in their sustainability journeys. \nIn January 2025\, SPP released the draft Carbon Pricing Principles that were developed in close collaboration with over 235 industry leaders\, including Chief Procurement Officers\, sustainable procurement heads\, and champions from SPP’s Champions Program across diverse sectors. This collaborative effort lays the groundwork for the series of Pilot Group Meetings in 2025 aimed at expanding best practices and providing implementation support. \nIf you are already a part of the Pilot Group\, individual calendar invitations will be provided to you directly\, if you are missing the invite\, please write to kathrin@spp.earth. \nIf you are interested in joining the initiative\, learn more about the Carbon pricing for Procurement initiative on our website and sign up here.

DESCRIPTION:***Register via this Teams link*** \n#Sustainability #SustainableProcurement #CSDDD #ResponsibleSourcing \nHow can companies adapt their procurement strategies to meet the evolving demands of sustainability regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)? \nThis directive is a game-changer\, requiring businesses to move beyond reporting and take proactive responsibility for identifying\, preventing\, and mitigating risks across their global value chains. \nJoin us for an inspiring event hosted by the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP)\, where leading experts and companies will share actionable insights into implementing sustainable procurement strategies that align with CSDDD and other regulatory frameworks. Discover how this directive is reshaping the way Danish businesses operate and driving the transition toward more responsible and resilient supply chains. \n\nWe’ll start with Line Knudsen from Keepers ApS\, who will introduce the CSDDD\, breaking down its objectives and key requirements. Line will explore how this directive signals a “call to action” rather than a “call to reporting\,” presenting both challenges and opportunities for Danish businesses.\nNext\, Tracy Nilsson from Novo Nordisk will discuss the integration of responsible sourcing into procurement processes. She outlines how Novo Nordisk identifies and manages risks\, works toward enhancing transparency in the global value chain\, and addresses various challenges. The conversation also underscores the importance of responsible sourcing in sustainability efforts\, setting the stage for the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and related initiatives.\nLast but not least\, Geraldine Bagger from DLF will share their company’s approach to integrating the CSDDD into a broader sustainability framework. Geraldine will highlight how DLF is planning to streamline processes and enhance organizational experiences while meeting the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy. She will explore the rationale behind DLF’s strategy for engaging stakeholders both internally and externally\, emphasizing how this cohesive approach supports a unified and impactful sustainability journey.\n\nThe event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session\, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with the speakers\, share ideas\, and gain practical insights into navigating this evolving regulatory landscape. \nThis session is designed for procurement professionals\, sustainability leaders\, and anyone committed to adapting their strategies to meet the demands of CSDDD and beyond. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable perspectives and tools to help shape the future of procurement and sustainability for your organization. \n*** \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and Ambassador bonuses: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nJoin the discussions via our SPP Denmark LinkedIn Group: SPP Denmark \nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation.
