SUMMARY:SPP x HPE | Connecting the Health System Value Chain: The Procurement Lense
DESCRIPTION:Thank you very much for your interest in the SPP x HPE: Connecting the Health System Value Chain through the Procurement Lens workshop. \nAfter careful consideration\, we have decided to cancel this workshop and take a slightly different approach. Over the past week\, the Interregional Forum in Montreal created encouraging momentum around this topic—particularly among Canadian stakeholders. At the same time\, we recognize that the timing of tomorrow’s session is not well suited to enable their full participation. In addition\, the workshop was originally designed as a highly interactive session for a broader group of procurement professionals. With the current number and composition of participants\, it would not deliver the experience or outcomes we had intended\, and you are expecting. \nThis is not a pause in the work—quite the opposite. We see a valuable opportunity to build on the momentum and we will keep you up to date. \nIn the meantime\, we would very much welcome 1:1 conversations. Our aim is to build a small but committed and impactful group to help steer this work forward. \n+++ If you are interested in exploring a more active role and to shape with us the direction of this collaborative project\, please don’t hesitate to reach out to kathrin@spp.earth —we would be delighted to connect. +++ \nThank you again for your interest and engagement. We look forward to continuing the conversation. \n+++ \nAbout this collaboration \nSPP has joining forces with Health Proc Europe (HPE) under the Alliance for Procurement Impact (API) in 2026\, contributing procurement practitioner insights through its Pharma & Life Sciences and Public Procurement Chapters to co-create and test a Sustainable & Resilient Procurement Toolkit. \nThe goal: to break down silos\, empower open peer-to-peer conversations and strengthen supply chains across Europe in line with the EU Green Transition and Critical Medicines Act. \nAt World Sustainable Procurement Day 2026\, we kicked off an important conversation: 👉 How can procurement help connect global health commitments with real-world impact across the Health System Value Chain? \n🎥 Missed the WSPD session or want a refresher? Watch the session recording to get up to speed — it sets the scene and provides the foundation for what comes next: https://lnkd.in/du–dGqR \n\n\n\n+++ \n\n\n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and Ambassador bonuses: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nJoin the discussions via our SPP Pharma & Live Sciences LinkedIn Group: SPP Pharma and the SPP Public Procurement LinkedIn Group: SPP Public Procurement\nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. We kindly ask you to read and adhere to the SPP Netiquette (www.spp.earth)\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Turning Scope 3 Ambition into Action — Building Governance to Drive Real Progress

Sustainability teams often struggle to secure engagement and buy-in from other functions\, manage trade-offs and translate climate objectives into coordinated action across the organization. \nIn this session facilitated by Impact Pathways\, procurement and sustainability professionals engaged in the Scope 3 Peer Group will introduce a practical Scope 3 governance framework developed by Peers for Peers. Understanding this isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution\, the framework reflects what is working in companies\, regardless of industry\, business model or Scope 3 maturity. Participants will hear directly from procurement leaders who are rolling up their sleeves\, shaping the framework and applying it to drive progress within their own organizations and supply chains. \nParticipants will leave with insights on why governance is necessary to  enable and accelerate Scope 3 progress\, examples of how companies are approaching cross-functional ownership and accountability\, and practical considerations for strengthening internal alignment on value chain decarbonization. \n+++ \n\nWSPD is run as an SPP community event.
