SUMMARY:SPP Nature & Biodiversity | How to get started on water in Procurement and engage suppliers
DESCRIPTION:***Register for free via this Teams link*** \nMost businesses need water to operate\, yet our fresh water is running out. According to the CEO Mandate\, if current trends persist\, we will only have 60% of the fresh water we need in 2030. Therefore\, good water management means good business continuity. Procurement professionals are well positioned to manage this risk and maintain their supply chain security. Water shortages can lead to industrial interruptions\, energy outages and agricultural production losses and taking a proactive approach to water issues can mean ensuring business profitability into the future. \nScott Oram\, the Global Water Lead at Haleon\, will be joining us to explain how every Procurement professional can get started on water. He will start by explaining key water-related issues like scarcity and pollution\, followed by the types of solutions one can put in place\, ranging for basic water management to water stewardship. He’ll explain the different approaches procurement professionals can take based on their companies’ maturity levels\, starting at compliance and ending at resilience management.  Scott will also help procurement professionals understand the case for water and how taking a proactive approach can help you save your businesses monies. For example\, reducing the need to incinerate polluted water both helps conserve water and reduce costs. The latter part of the webinar will be used to provide demos and examples of how procurement professionals can assess their suppliers and take action\, including what to add to tenders and contracts and what project related advice to give to your suppliers. \n*** \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and Ambassador bonuses: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nJoin the discussions via our SPP LinkedIn Group: SPP Nature & Biodiversity \nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. SUMMARY:SPP | Integrating Carbon into Decision Making: Deep-dive Workshop
DESCRIPTION:*** REGISTER FOR FREE: REGISTRATION LINK *** \nJoin this interactive deep-dive workshop that will help you shape your approach to integrating carbon into your procurement decision-making processes. \nThis workshop builds upon the Integrating Carbon into Decision Making Guide published in May 2025. The Guide is a practical resource designed to help procurement leaders embed carbon considerations into sourcing processes\, using carbon as a commercial lever. \nIt reflects our belief that no matter your company’s size\, maturity\, or operating model\, there is a way forward. The Guide was built with flexibility in mind\, understanding that context matters—market leverage\, supplier relationships\, and data availability should shape your approach. Recognizing that not every team has the tools or internal support to price carbon directly\, the guide outlines a range of accessible options—from simple screening methods to full environmental price adjustments \nThe guide complements the carbon pricing conversation we started with the Carbon Pricing in Procurement Initiative. \nYour speaker: \nLewis Howard is Co-CEO of BRAE and developed the Integrating Carbon into Decision Making Guide for SPP. He will lead you through the  key elements of the guide and provide practical implementation advice. \nIn preparation of the workshop we recommend to \n\nDive into the topic of Carbon Pricing with the Guide.\nLearn more about the SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative\, the Carbon Pricing Principles and consider joining the Piloting Group.\n\n*** \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and more: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nLearn more about SPP Initiatives and how to engage: SPP Initiatives\nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. SUMMARY:SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative: Pilot Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This event series is designed for participants of the SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative who are wanting / willing to pilot the Carbon Pricing Principles for Procurement – or already doing so. \nThe Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative is a transformative effort aimed to accelerate global supply chain decarbonization.
SUMMARY:SPP Initiative | Sustainability Data Collaboration Initiative - Exploration Call
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Rewired Earth\, SPP is exploring the launch of a new SPP Initiative focused on unlocking the full value of sustainability data through a systemic\, ecosystem-based approach. \nThe problem statement: Many businesses face significant challenges with sustainability data due to poor quality\, fragmentation\, and a lack of interoperability. This hinders effective decision-making and slows progress on sustainability goals. A systemic\, ecosystem-based approach—like Rewired Earth’s—can address these issues by aligning stakeholders around shared data models\, co-investment\, and scalable\, cross-sector solutions. Tangible innovations like Biaco demonstrate how collective efforts can reduce costs\, improve outcomes\, and drive both business growth and positive impact for people and the planet. \nFollowing initial conversations at the SPP Champions Program\, this exploration call gather potential collaborators from across the SPP Community and Ecosystem to co-define the scope of this initiative and identify community leaders to drive it forward. \nIf you are interested in joining this initiative\, sign up here. \n  \n*** \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and more: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/\nLearn more about SPP Initiatives and how to engage: SPP Initiatives\nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. DESCRIPTION:+++ This event series is designed for participants of the SPP Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative who are wanting / willing to pilot the Carbon Pricing Principles for Procurement – or already doing so.  +++ \nThe Carbon Pricing for Procurement Initiative is a transformative effort aimed to accelerate global supply chain decarbonization.
