SUMMARY:SPP Scope 3 x SPP DACH | From Scope 3 measurement to real-world emissions reductions
DESCRIPTION:+++ Register here (it’s free): LINK +++ \nScope 3 targets are set. But how do you move from measurement to actually reducing emissions? Fast\, cost-effectively\, and with credible evidence? \nIn this session\, Moritz Nill (CEO\, ctrl+s) and Sebastian Zingsheim (Senior Director Sustainable Procurement & Supply Chain\, GEA) discuss the complexity of Scope 3 measurement. Starting from the different levers of supply chain decarbonization\, they examine how Corporate Carbon Footprints\, Product Carbon Footprints\, and supplier reduction data can and cannot deliver for each lever. \nSebastian will share how GEA is integrating primary ESG data into its global supplier engagement program. He will provide practical insights into how PCFs and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) have been embedded into supplier sustainability criteria\, and how GEA supports suppliers in building the capabilities needed to provide credible\, decision-relevant sustainability data that enables real emission reductions across the value chain. \nDrawing on real-world examples\, this will be an exciting session\, especially for those who have the basics of Scope 3 measurement already in place! \nYour Speakers \nDr. Moritz Nill brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in sustainable supply chains — as an LCA practitioner\, as a verifier of sustainability reports\, EU ETS emission reports\, and LCA studies\, and as a management consultant. He is now CEO of ctrl+s\, a SaaS company that helps large companies measure and decarbonize their supply chain emissions. \nSebastian Zingsheim has been heading Sustainability Strategy within Procurement and Supply Chain at GEA Group\, where he shapes decarbonization initiatives\, drives responsible sourcing\, and integrates sustainability into core business strategies. Sebastian is Co-chair of the SPP DACH Chapter. \nFacilitator: Claudia Stijlen\, Co-chair of the SPP Scope 3 chapter \n+++ \n\nJoin the SPP Community for all events\, tools and Ambassador bonuses: sustainableprocurementpledge/register/.\nJoin the discussions via our SPP LinkedIn Groups: SPP Scope 3 and  SPP DACH.\nAs with all SPP events and platforms\, we ask attendees for active\, respectful participation and to refrain from sales pitches and solicitation. We kindly ask you to read and adhere to the SPP Netiquette (spp.earth).\nThe event will be recorded and shared on the SPP YouTube channel: Sustainable Procurement Pledge – YouTube.
