DESCRIPTION:This event is collaboratively hosted by the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) and the World Economic Forum (WEF). \nMeeting professed net-zero goals\, responding to market access changes (e.g. the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)\, fulfilling reporting requirements (e.g. SBTi\, TCFD and CSRD) and capturing customers who are seeking low-carbon solutions – these are among the factors driving companies’ decarbonization activities. As the primary interface with suppliers and responsible for ensuring the quantity and quality at scale of necessary materials and energy resources\, procurement professionals are uniquely positioned to take the lead in implementing organizations’ climate agendas.
