SUMMARY:Procure Innovation Dialogues 2024: Unlocking the Power of Procurement to Achieve the Climate Goals
DESCRIPTION:This event is collaboratively hosted by the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) and the World Economic Forum (WEF). \nMeeting professed net-zero goals\, responding to market access changes (e.g. the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)\, fulfilling reporting requirements (e.g. SBTi\, TCFD and CSRD) and capturing customers who are seeking low-carbon solutions – these are among the factors driving companies’ decarbonization activities. As the primary interface with suppliers and responsible for ensuring the quantity and quality at scale of necessary materials and energy resources\, procurement professionals are uniquely positioned to take the lead in implementing organizations’ climate agendas. DESCRIPTION:#transforming@speed \nAnnually\, the SPP Champions Program has been bringing together leaders and their teams from some of the world’s biggest organizations to accelerate change. \nFor the second time\, the SPP Champion Program teams are getting together in person.  Last year the SPP Champions and Transformation Panel Members met in Berlin\, this year we are meeting in New York during NYC Climate Week. \nSPP’s League of Champions supports procurement leadership and their organizations to better engage and capability-build their procurement function on sustainability.
